…. so you know what time it is. For the Uptown Sound, it’s time to get busy, time to get ill, and after we bust through some of these heavy heavy shows, it’ll be time to chill.

First up, get your asses down to the Empty Bottle on Tuesday night, July 27th, when JC Brooks (with extra special guest Renaldo Domino) has the extreme pleasure of warming up the stage for Daptone’s Naomi Shelton & the Gospel Queens. It’s going to be a major meeting of the minds, check out her recent singles:

and why yes, as a matter of fact, that IS legendary James Brown bassist Fred Thomas (the man behind the two notes of “Hot Pants“)
