Tour Life: MPLS

January 18, 2012 – Billy…

Yesterday we went to Rock Island, IL to record a Daytrotter session. If you are unfamiliar, Daytrotter is an old analog recording studio in near rural Illinois.

In the past few years, they’ve had every band from Deerhunter to Raphael Saadiq stop by to cut short live sessions for their broadcasts.

And they’ve got the best collection of vintage amps and instruments, including an ARP Solina.

We cut a few live versions of “Want More” songs including yet another arrangement of the ever evolving “Baaadnews”.

In the Twin Cities today relaxing at Hard Times Cafe before a show at the Varsity Theater. Last night it was 1 degree up here. That’s right, 1.
